Getting to know is going online for Women’s Work 2021 - join us and your favourite songwriters as we deep dive into their catalogue, their influences and their stories to date. We are delighted to welcome the uniquely talented Dani Larkin to Getting To Know in a Women’s Work Special

Hailing from the Armagh-Monaghan border, Dani Larkin is tipped as Ireland’s most exciting new alt-folk artist following an impressive debut at Folk Alliance International and her Great Escape debut this May. Her highly anticipated debut album Notes For A Maiden Warrior is set for release on 18th June 2021, already being quoted as “promising to be one of the most exciting contemporary folk albums this year” (Hot Press). She has been seen taking great strides recently - now under the Jawdropper Music management umbrella, she signed a worldwide sync deal with Plutonic Group Syncs, is now officially represented by leading live booking agency Midnight Mango, as well as announcing details for her headline album tour this coming Autumn, in association with Singular Artists. A storyteller by nature, her music is inspired by the folktales she was raised with, intertwined with elements of traditional melodies and rhythms from around the world in a timeless tradition.

Previous sessions have featured the likes of NI Music Prize and Mercury Music Prize nominee SOAK, Ivor Novello Award Winning Artist Tim Wheeler (ASH), BBC 6 Music veteran Tom Robinson, Hannah Peel….the list goes on.......
