A small slice of some of the most exciting emerging female voices and forces in Ireland. Today is the turn of Míde Houlihan. Míde Houlihan is a folk/pop singer-songwriter from West Cork. Since winning the 2015 IMRO Songwriting Award, Míde has built up a great following in Ireland, resulting in some sold out shows on her EP Launch Tour in 2018, and her most recent single, ‘Idle Words’ (co-written with Mick Flannery), receiving an extremely warm welcome in the media. Míde’s latest single, ‘Without Me’ reached number 4 on the national airplay charts on RTE Radio. Míde is currently in the studio working on a new EP, set for release later this year, along with some live shows. Click for more info on Míde

Míde’s efforts are championed by Unemployable Promotions. A Cork City based company, who work with artists to boost their profile, wherever possible, acting as management, PR, booking agents, session musicians and whatever else is needed. The company recently showcased their entire roster at Liverpool Irish Festival, and are currently gearing up for upcoming events in the summer of 2021. Unemployable are very much an ‘artists for artists’ company, with the main aim being to help emerging acts get the notice that they deserve.
